Thursday, November 20 - Thank You!! To all my supporters, we are ending our Pro Cup adventure, but will keep everyone updated on my racing in Wisconsin. We have sold most of our Pro Cup stuff, car and equipment in the hopes of building a new Late Model and traveling in Wisconsin/Illinois in the 2009 season. I am actually very excited to be back in Wisconsin among my family and friends and I hope we can rekindle many successful race seasons to come.
Tuesday, March 10 - We recently purchased a 2009 Rander chassis from Jim Randerson. I'm excited to get started on building the car and working closely with Rander Car Chassis. We are currently in the early stages of mockup. Our plan is to have the chassis sent off for powder coating by the end of March. Motormasters is working on building the new motor for the 2009 Limited Late Model season. Our goal is to be ready for testing at the end of May. No plans to run for points this season, but would like to run in the Big 8 Series as much as possible, along with Slinger Speedway.
Wednesday, August 05 - Due to these tough times, MHR is currently taking the 2009 race season off. We were very enthusiastic early on this season and had plans in place to make a serious return to the Limited Late Model Series. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, we fell short of these plans. But on a happier note, MHR will return in 2010. Mike has decided to build his new car into a Super Late Model instead of a Limited Late Model. The car is basically complete and we are working hard to find a marketing partner for 2010. MHR plans to race in the Wisconsin Challenge Series and a part-time schedule in the CRA Super Series, along with appearances at Slinger, Madison and other Wisconsin short tracks. Mike is currently very happy with the way his new Rander car came together. "I think we have a very good piece here and with proper testing early in the 2010, I hope we can be a contender early in the season. Sitting this season out was a tough decision but in the future I know it is for the best. I'm very anxious to get back behind the wheel and race in front of my family, friends, and marketing partners. Thanks for all of your support!"
